How to Order Tickets

Tickets are available online anytime or by phone 713.533.0080 from 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, or at the box office before the performance.

Our website will reflect the most up-to-date ticket availability, but if you have any difficulty, please feel free to call us, we’re here for you!

How to get your tickets

For single-ticket purchases, you can choose to have your tickets emailed to print-at-home, mailed to you (up to one week before a concert), or held at Will Call for your pick up.  See venue info for Will Call details: Venues.   For subscription holders, tickets are printed and mailed in late August of each year.

Print-at-Home tickets

When choosing print-at-home tickets (also called E-Tickets), you will receive two emails.  The first confirms your order and the second, usually arriving within thirty minutes, contains your tickets as a PDF.  You can print them or show them on your phone.

If you do not receive your tickets within two hours please call us at 713.533.0080 and we can resend them. You can also stop by the Will Call before the concert and we can print them for you. Please note, our new system will send you print-at-home tickets for any upcoming concert you have, even if the concerts were ordered at separate times. You may have to scroll through the PDF to see the correct tickets.

Unable to use your tickets?

Please feel free to share them with a friend or if you’d like to donate your tickets back as a contribution, fill out this form or give us a call at 713.533.0080.

Exchanges

A benefit of being a subscriber is the ability to exchange tickets if your plans change.  Please call us at 713.533.0080 if you need to make an exchange to another concert.  Any change in ticket price may be responsibility of patron.

If your tickets are lost

If your tickets are lost, please call us at 713.533.0080.  We’re happy to reprint them.

Refunds

All sales are final and there are no refunds.

Students/Children

Tickets for students and children are $10.  Tickets may be purchased online, by phone at 713.533.0080 and in-person on the day of the concert.

Orders containing student/child tickets will be held for pick up at Will Call the day of the concert and a student ID is required for students in high school or above.

Children of all ages are welcome at Mercury concerts but please consider your own child’s ability to sit quietly for long periods of time. We have found families with young children prefer Neighborhood concerts due to their shorter duration, informal atmosphere and the presence of break areas.  Downtown concerts are longer, lasting later into the evening, making them harder to sit through.

Accessibility Accommodations

Mercury’s goal is to make our performances welcoming and accessible to all.  To purchase tickets that will meet your needs, please call us at 713.533.0080, and visit the following links for more information on each venue’s accessibility: Wortham Center’s Cullen Theater, Museum of Fine Arts, Saengerhalle, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, and the Dosey Doe.

The Concert Experience

What is the Concert Venue like?

Check out our Visit section for more information about our venues, including directions and parking, accessibility, dining suggestions and ticketing pick-up.

How long is the concert + is there an intermission?

Downtown concerts usually last about 1 hour 45 minutes and have an intermission.  Neighborhood concerts usually last about 1 hour with no intermission.  For more information, check the specific concert page.

What should I wear?

A concert is often considered a special event so people typically dress as they might for church, a business meeting, or a date.  Downtown concerts tend to be on the dressier side and Neighborhood concerts more casual.  Whatever the case, be comfortable, and remember though Houston is usually hot outside, inside it is often chilly with the air conditioning, so you might want a sweater or wrap.

When do I applaud?

If it is your first time at an orchestra concert, it can be daunting to know when to clap.  Nowadays, we usually clap when the conductor and/or soloists appear on stage and also at the conclusion of an entire piece (but not in between movements).  And if all else fails, feel free to follow the lead of others.

What if I am running late?

Late seating is often available during the first convenient break in performance and is always at the discretion of the ushers, varying by performance.  Especially at our Downtown concerts, please allow plenty of time for parking and getting to your seat.

What if I have to leave?

If you need to leave during a performance to use the restroom, take a call or otherwise, no worries.  You will be allowed back in at the discretion of the ushers, usually at the first convenient break in performance.

Can I take pictures or videos?

Recording of Mercury performances by camera, audio or video equipment is prohibited without express permission.  But you are welcome to take pictures of your program and tickets before the orchestra starts playing.

Can I use my phone or talk?

Out of respect for our musicians, please be sure to silence your phones and other noisy devices and refrain from texting or talking while they are performing.  Disruptive or unruly patrons may be asked to leave with no refund.

Can I bring food or beverages into the venue?

At our venues, outside food and drink are not allowed. Some venues have food and beverages for sale, explore our Plan Your Visit section for more details. Please note: Alcohol is expressly prohibited from being brought in due to TABC restrictions.

What if I lost a personal item?

If you lost something, it is usually best to check with the venue directly.  But feel free to call us, we’re happy to check if something made its way to us or we can help you get in touch with the right person.

Do you have a recording of this performance?

Mercury has a discography of eight CDs currently and some feature performances from our current season.  Check out our available recordings here and you can also find us on iTunes (tip: search for “Antoine Plante” as some of our CDs are under Mercury Baroque and some are under Mercury Chamber Orchestra), Spotify, Amazon Music and more.  Our concerts are also featured regularly on Houston Public Media’s Encore Houston program.
