Romance and imagination abound in Vivaldi's Four Seasons!
Don't miss this theatrical premiere, weaving words, movement and the music of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Purcell's The Fairy Queen into a modern fairy tale!
David Rainey, resident member of The Alley Theatre and Artistic Director of The Landing Theatre Company, joins Mercury to tell the story of four seasons in the life of retired aerospace engineer Walden Walker.
Based on "Fairies' Dowries", a short play by Denis Plante, this original production was created by Antoine Plante and Denis Plante.
Please note: This production will be enjoyable for all ages, though we recommend children be over the age of six or capable of sitting quietly for long periods of time so as not to disrupt other patrons' enjoyment of the concert. All children must be ticketed.
This concert is made possible in part by the Houston Endowment and the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance. The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is sponsored by Houston Area Lexus Dealers and United Airlines.
