A treat for baroque lovers
This rarely heard concerto for recorder captures the same sort of musical thrills Vivaldi achieved with works like the Four Seasons – with a truly remarkable soloist. Then, baroque treats by Telemann, Haydn, and Purcell – all performed on historical instruments that more faithfully recreate the sounds these composers would have imagined.
This concert is made possible in part by the Houston Endowment, the Brown Foundation, the Cullen Trust for the Performing Arts, the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance, and by supporters like you.
