Beethoven’s genius... Haydn’s charm
Haydn’s talent for melody delights in his well-known “Farewell Symphony” as well as his lesser-known Symphony No. 6 – a breathtaking musical portrait of a beautiful sunrise in the morning. Beethoven’s spirited Piano Concerto No. 2 was a mighty showpiece that helped to introduce this great master to the Viennese musical scene.
This concert is made possible in part by Hans & Lili Kirchner, the Houston Endowment and the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
