Vocal fireworks
Based on a medieval poem honoring the suffering of Mary, the Stabat Mater pulls at listeners’ innermost heartstrings through operatic expressivity. It’s a masterpiece of sacred music and the most frequently printed single work in the 18th century. Paired with favorite arias and duets from Handel’s beloved operas, this concert is not to be missed.
