A night of the triumphant and sublime

Experience Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony - an immense and soul-stirring exposition on triumph over tragedy - alongside his brilliant “Emperor Concerto” on the instruments of the composer’s time played with vitality by Mercury and hear works renewed - fresh, invigorating, remarkable.  Joining Mercury is Alon Goldstein, piano, who brings, “A beautifully balanced approach to the score, refined yet impetuous, noble yet spirited" (New York Times). 

WEATHER NOTE: The concert is scheduled to proceed as planned at this time. The concert will only be cancelled if the Wortham Center closes or there is an evacuation of the Theater District area.  Updates will be posted to our website and social media as needed.
