Meet the people behind the music
What began in 2000 as four friends forming an intimate chamber ensemble has grown into one of Houston’s most dynamic arts organizations. United by a love of historically informed performance and a desire to enrich and entertain, those early concerts on period instruments laid the foundation for Mercury. Meet Antoine Plante (Artistic Director), Jonathan Godfrey (Concertmaster), and all the musicians who continue to shape Mercury’s sound today.
